Usage Guidelines
Mixing Instructions
To achieve the best results when working with clear coat and hardener, it is crucial to use either a digital scale or a measuring cup. Mix the clear coat and hardener precisely at a 2:1 ratio. This specific ratio is fundamental for the proper functioning and quality of the final product. Under no circumstances should you add any extra thinner. By adhering to this guideline, you can ensure optimal adhesion of the clear coat to the surface and also achieve a high - gloss finish.
Once the clear coat and hardener have been mixed in the correct ratio, allow the resulting mixture to sit for 30 minutes at a temperature of 25℃. This sitting period, known as maturation, is essential for the chemical reactions within the mixture to occur properly. If the ambient temperature is below 25℃, it is necessary to extend the maturation time. This adjustment accounts for the slower chemical processes that occur at lower temperatures, ensuring that the mixture reaches its full potential before application.
Application Conditions
Ideal temperature: 15–25℃ (avoid humidity >60%). For temperatures <15℃, use fast-drying thinner (consult supplier for recommendations).
Apply 2 layers (wet-by-wet method): First layer (semi-wet) for adhesion; second layer (wet) for full gloss. Wait 5–10 minutes between layers.
Tools & Techniques
Air spray: Nozzle diameter 1.8–2.5mm, pressure 0.3–0.5MPa; thinner (if needed): XLZ acrylic thinner (0–15% by weight).
Roll/brush application: Dilute with 0–20% XLZ thinner for smoothness.
